The Xinzhuangzi Village Reconstruction Project aims to reconstruct the village into a contemporary art spiritual home, a cross-country sports resort and an attracting landmark on Beijing-Baotou Railway through lifting people’s impression on the whole Zhangjiakou region. The village is located in the northwest of Xiahuayuan District, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, and accommodates the Xinzhuangzi Town Government. The traffic is quite convenient here and there is 110 National Highway, Beijing-Zhangjiakou Expressway and Beijing-Baotou Railway throughout the east to west. The planning scope mainly covers the living area of villagers and occupies a total area of 258.6mu. It is close to the expressway intersection, with convenient external traffic conditions as well as unique rugged topography. The plan will exert the advantages of the Yang River, off-road vehicle activities and overall characteristic townscape of the town to build an important leisure and holiday destination in North Beijing in combination with national policies related to construction of beautiful villages.
